THE H2A VISA FOR AGRICULTURE
Are you a farmer who needs seasonal or temporary workers for planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops but domestic workers are in short supply? We have more than 10,000 talents from Honduras ready to serve you through the Chamber’s Labor Member.
We help you in the following process:
Membership with the Chamber with a cost of $2,500 which include the following benefits:
One worker per registration with the Chamber. Second will be 10% less of the cost.
H2A process from Labor Certification, H2A petition to Immigration & Naturalization and interview for the workers including all the fee.
Airlines ticket, local transportation, social security card application, bank account and English course for the workers without any cost
The Approved workers travel to the worksite and arrive on the start date with an arrival/departure record.
Local transportation and meals from the Hotel to the location of the Farmer.
The Chamber will do process for E–Verify, a federal program that allows enrolled employers to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Collateral Services
To provide dependable guidance for the developing “Working in America” for the labor H2A visa by creating a bridge for them to understand instruction by the Famers in particularly objectives and operations with enthusiastic, respect and honor the Employer.
The Chamber will coordinate all the payroll services to the workers and provides health & disability insurance. The H–2A workers aren’t required to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes on their wages.
The Farmers are not required to pay these taxes on the worker either.
Toll free by the Chamber assistance in U.S. for workers for any emergency.
Next Steps
As an official representative and on behalf of the Farmer, the Chamber applied for the Labor Certification with Department of Labor at the National Processing Center and obtain its final determination.
The Chamber on behalf of the Farmers completes an H–2A visa petition with US Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The Chamber produce the interview application D160 for Workers apply for the H–2A visa with the Department of State and complete consulate interviews.
The Approved workers travel to the worksite and arrive on the start date with an arrival/departure record.
COST COVER BY THE CHAMBER
- Processing certification for employers $100 application fee, plus $10 per certified worker (not to exceed $1000)
- Non–Immigrant Worker Petition Filing fee $460
- H–2A Visa Application Consulate fee $190 per worker (worker must be reimbursed in first paycheck)
- Border stamp fee $6 per worker
- The Chamber direct fees Approximately $150 per worker
- Transportation from home country to work site including round trip airline ticket $400 to $650 per worker (cost varies depending on the country of origin)
- Association fees if applicable for logistic and instructions $250
- Employees don’t pay any cent to the Chamber or the U.S. Employers in U.S. for any collateral extra services.
The Chamber will report to the Department of Labor on a monthly basis a report ware that workers were charged a fee for employment by recruiters or any other representatives.
