Minority Chamber to launch “10,000-Jobs Initiative”
at XXX Bi-Annual National Minority Career Expo Miami
Exclusive event will be South Florida’s largest coalition of high-level talent among U.S. Government Agencies, Multilateral Organizations, and Supplier Diversity Companies
MIAMI, August 23, 2023 —The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce (MCC) launches its annual “10,000 Jobs Initiatives” at the XII Minority National Career & Job Fair Miami 2023 this coming Friday September 1, 2023, from 9 am – 4 p.m. The exclusive Job & Career Expo takes place at MCC’s Marriott Marquis Downtown Miami. The highly anticipated career event features representation by global, national, and local employers’ organizations that provide continued employment opportunities for minority groups and create pathways to jobs in the region. This is achieved through ongoing hiring fairs; entrepreneurship training camps; and myriad other efforts to training and employment efforts for minority groups.
To attend the XXX Minority National Career & Job Fair Miami 2023, job seekers must pre-register by sending a request via e-mail to [email protected]. Candidates may then complete registration by gaining access to USMCC’s electronic ticket hub. The event is free of charge. The official list of employers will be announced August 30, 2023. .
“Connecting South Florida’s minority groups with a pathway to employment creates an enormous ripple effect in our businesses communities and for the economy in general,” says USMCC Founder & Executive Director Doug Mayorga. “Our mission is to provide an opportunity for professionals, veterans, and skilled workers to explore options, while assisting them in pursuing top position in all three economy sectors.”
About the 10,000 Jobs Initiatives: Multilateral agencies, U.S Government, and private-sector companies participating in the coalition will help to launch careers and serve as entrepreneurship camp sponsors for minority professionals, veterans, students, skilled workers, and multilingual people just entering the workforce – including internships, apprenticeships, and on the job-training. In addition, the program aims to develop potential among job fair candidates seeking to create new businesses through an intensive business courses. The program goal for the year 2023-2024 is 10,000 jobs.
About U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce: A non-profit 501 c 3 organization with a mission of USMCC is to create jobs and professional development for minority groups as well the entrepreneurship startup program. The Minority National Career & Job Fair Miami is a workforce development program designed to help MCC-member employers, partners, and non-members to find and train minority employees; and to help unemployed workers find positions and engage in training to help them with new positions and different opportunities.
